Cotswold District Council (CDC) is the planning authority for the villages that make up the parish of Blockley.
The Parish Council is one of a number of consultees set out by the District Planning Authority which means that we are notified of all new planning applications in the parish and are asked for our comments on each one within a strict deadline for responding. Being a consultee does not mean that the final decision as to whether to permit a planning application falls to the Parish Council as this power falls to CDC as the local Planning Authority.
Planning applications and the Council’s comments are shown as an appendix on each set of Council Minutes (see the Minutes tab on this website).
You can view all the planning applications in the Cotswold District by logging onto the planning page of the CDC website (www.cotswold.gov.uk/planning). You can also register to receive email alerts on applications – follow the prompts from the planning page to Login/Register. Consultee comments can be viewed by clicking on the ‘Documents’ tab when selecting a specific application to view.
