On Saturday there will be a wonderful heritage cycle ride leaving Moreton, cycling through places like Evenlode who are encouraging locals to get out & cheer before spending time at Stow with a civic reception before cycling through Slaughters to Bourton. For those parishes not directly involved in the tour route, this ride gives you an opportunity to see cyclists of a more leisurely pace. Please see the attached email from organisers Great British Bike Build with anticipated timings.
Bourton on the Hill will be hosting a 'King of the Mountains' points prize with many hundreds of spectators expected. Blockley's Freestyle 360 spinners will be cycling in the Horse and Groom pub car park to keep the crowds entertained with their music and they are also sponsoring a WattBike competition/challenge by Fenhill Close with first prize to the winner of dinner for two at the pub. Teas and light lunches will be available at Bourton House and the Old School Hall with a BBQ and large screen TVs at the pub to watch the race finish in Cheltenham.

We know the local effort that has gone into the event and are delighted that the local newspapers, Cotswold Life, Cotswold Times and others have picked up with the story as well as we will have a national newspaper journalist staying in the area over the next week as well.
We hope you will all have an enjoyable day and locals line the route.
Do remember the whole stage will be live on ITV4 from 10.15am to cover the whole stage with highlights at 8pm - see http://www.tourofbritain.co.uk/about/television/
